Water Fed Pole (or Reach & Wash)...
|
|
Many Window Cleaners have now moved away from
the more traditional "Ladder
& Bucket" window cleaning technique in
favour of the new Water Fed Pole, or Reach &
Wash systems.
|
|
Whilst the outcome is seemingly the same (clean
windows), the methods and in fact results are
very different!
|
|
| When using a Water Fed Pole system, the water
being used to clean your windows needs to be 100%
pure, having had all of the impurities, pollution
and minerals removed. This may not seem like much,
but guarantees a crystal clear, smear free clean
- it is the impurities in regular tap and rain water
that leave the marks! |
|
| With a traditional 'soap & squeegee' wash,
the squeegee is used to wipe the excess soapy water,
removing any obvious marks or smearing, but it will
always leave a fine film on the glass - although
this cannot be seen with the naked eye, it is that
film that continues to attract further dirt, resulting
in dirtier windows sooner! |
|
| After being washed with pure water, the water
can be left to dry naturally without leaving any
marks, smearing or cloudiness, simply because there
are no impurities in the water to be left behind!
There is no fine film to attract the dirt, and all
you are left with is crystal clear windows, that
will stay cleaner and brighter for longer! |
|
| Another attraction of the water fed pole system,
both for the user and customer, is the removal of
the need for ladders. Safety has always been a concern
for window cleaners, and with the new water fed
pole systems the ladder is no longer required -
additionally, it reduces ladder marks and damage
to buildings and property! |
|
| As with most ongoing debates, each side has their
own argument for why one is better than the other,
typically based on personal experiences - we do
recognise that many window cleaners (and their customers)
prefer the traditional 'ladder & bucket' technique
over the water fed pole systems, but having had
experience with both we are of the opinion that
the water fed pole systems provide the better results,
it ensures the windows (sills and frames) stay cleaner
for longer, and is by far the safest method for
both the window cleaner and any property. |
|
| Why not make up your own mind? Ask for a free
demonstration - one of our window cleaners will
clean a single small window (including frame and
sill), and you can see the results for yourself.
